US Commerce Secretary says tariff exemptions on electronics and pharmaceuticals are temporary

The Trump administration late on Friday said it would exclude electronics like smartphones and laptops from reciprocal tariffs, a move US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick said would not be permanent.
