⚡️ A major scandal is unfolding in Kyiv around NABU and SAPO — Prosecutor General Kravchenko left the country after announcing high-profile suspicions
Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko has confirmed that he is currently abroad. According to him, he left on an official trip to brief international partners on what he called the “real situation” inside Ukraine’s anti-corruption institutions. Ukrainska Pravda, meanwhile, reports that he crossed the border overnight in an official vehicle.
Before that, Kravchenko announced suspicion against NABU Director Semen Kryvonos, alleging that he falsified official documents in order to obtain an illicit benefit on an especially large scale. A second case concerns a person close to SAPO head Oleksandr Klymenko, who is accused of influencing judges of the High Anti-Corruption Court, offering them an illegal benefit, and helping someone evade mobilization.
Kravchenko also accused NABU and SAPO employees of copying and taking investigation materials concerning their own leadership during searches. He further claimed that representatives of the anti-corruption bodies had offered him guarantees of immunity in exchange for dropping the accusations.
NABU and SAPO called Kravchenko’s statements a continuation of a systemic attack on independent anti-corruption institutions.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said Kravchenko has only one option left — dismissal from office — and urged lawmakers to back his removal without delay.
According to Davyd Arakhamia, head of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction, the Verkhovna Rada is expected to vote on Kravchenko’s dismissal tomorrow.
